Kienan's journey in tax compliance began in earnest in 2020, following five years of varied experiences within Accounting Prose. He swiftly became the go-to specialist for businesses navigating the complexities of State and Local Tax (SALT). His responsibilities are critical to both the company and its diverse clientele, encompassing a wide array of tax-related operations:

• Overseeing the complete operations of the Tax Department, including unemployment insurance, withholding, workers' compensation, payroll, sales tax, and other local taxes.

• Developing and implementing comprehensive, standardized procedures tailored for SALT, with adaptability to suit a myriad of client industries.

• Establishing stringent controls to ensure adherence to processes, timeliness, and budget constraints.

• Instituting a tracking system for client sales tax nexus thresholds, ensuring timely compliance.

• Analyzing task durations to precisely measure labor costs and enhance efficiency.

• Partnering with management to automate tasks, optimizing for quality and consistency.

• Conducting thorough research to stay abreast of the ever-evolving SALT regulations.

• Cultivating internal tax process education and promoting a culture of accountability within his team.
